Learning and Building My Business: BCray Productions LLC

Starting and building BCray Productions LLC has been one of the most challenging and rewarding journeys of my life. As a veteran and first-time media business owner, I quickly learned that building a company is about far more than having a good idea—it’s about discipline, patience, and a willingness to learn every single day.

When I launched BCray Productions, I didn’t have everything figured out. What I did have was a vision: to create a community-centered media company that produces meaningful content, uplifts voices, and builds long-term ownership through creativity and structure. From podcasts and live conversations to future studio development, the goal has always been bigger than just content—it’s about building something sustainable.

Learning as I Build

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that you don’t have to know everything to get started, but you do have to stay teachable. I’ve spent time learning about business operations, branding, budgeting, contracts, networking, and the realities of scaling a production company. Every conversation, every mistake, and every small win has added to that education.

Networking through chambers of commerce, community events, and local business mixers has shown me the importance of relationships. Growth doesn’t happen in isolation. It happens when you show up, listen, ask questions, and follow through.

Building with Integrity

BCray Productions is veteran-owned and operated, and I carry the values of service, accountability, and integrity into everything we do. That means being honest about where we are as a company, transparent with collaborators, and intentional about the culture we’re building.

We are still growing. We are still learning. And we are still laying the foundation brick by brick.

The future of BCray Productions includes expanded studio space, stronger partnerships, consistent content output, and opportunities for creatives to grow with us. I’m excited about what’s ahead—not because it’s easy, but because it’s earned.

This journey has taught me that progress beats perfection, and that building something meaningful takes time. I’m committed to learning, improving, and leading with purpose as BCray Productions continues to grow.
